The Delicate Artistry of Ted Meuhling

Ted Muehling has the kind of aesthetic that can make a purist's heart sing.   Since 1976 Ted has been designing jewelry and decorative objects inspired by organic forms found in nature.  An intimate observer of the natural world since childhood, Ted studied at the Pratt Institute in New York.  His collaboration with Porzellan-Manufaktur Nymphenburg in Germany (could that be any longer of a name, try typing it) has resulted in a broad range of objects.  I am showing you the glass and porcelain only.  There is much more, you can check out E. R. Butler & Co. for the complete line of loot.

This coral spoon is so clean for having a design on the handle.  It sort of reminds me of Marcel Wanders Crochet Chair, not to be confused with his Knotted Chair, uh, I didn't really say that, did I?

This "nest" votive is absolutely adorable.  Again nature inspired and so perfect for those summer dinner parties.

These convex, concave butterfly glasses feel as though the butterflies are real.  So elegant the design combined with the beauty of this exquisite glass make for an irresistible contribution to any table setting.  Intoxicating for me.

The sea always pulls at our heartstrings bringing back memories of childhood.  That's exactly what I think of when I look at these absolutely divine objects.  Shell life for everything you might need one for.

And, of course, we can't leave out the ubiquitous egg shape.  These are lovely in every aspect...color, shape and size.  A vase for all seasons and all things.

Ted Meuhling,  an artist of such delicate design - I'm thinking he's the best.
