Watching Time

I don't know about you but, for me, a watch is like shoes.  I go straight to both immediately when checking out someone.  I think it might give me some insight as to who the person is by the shoes and watch they wear.  But, then, is that how others are perceiving me?  Paranoia sets in.  God, let's be careful here.  The big gold Rolex - no, too showy.  The Tiffany, uhm maybe, I do like it..  The Cartier is understated if you don't do the diamonds, leather band even less so.  I think I like that.  The relative message is "OK I can afford the expensive watch but, I don't need to make a statement."  I really like that.  And then there is the person that is so secure that a mere Timex from J Crew will do, that is way cool.  My personal favorite is the Hermes but, the cheaper one.  Not because of the name recognition but, I really like the overall design.  I think it's the best of all of the round dials out there.

Rolex Mariner my least fav....

Tiffany - classic.

Cariter - always a favorite.

The J Crew watch by Timex is really good.  I think of Zuckerberg.

And then, drum, drum, drum roll please.... the Hermes, don't care about the name I just like the watch.

While I own most of these watches I will admit that I wear an antique watch that doesn't fit into any of the above categories.  Lessoned learned here....is that new never displaces old and my ancestral watch that I wear everyday is my watch of choice forever.
