Paper Stone

What a conundrum...paper + stone. One is rock hard, the other melts when wet. This company I am about to introduce you to has developed their recycled product from 100% post consumer recycled cardboard. Yes, cardboard that provides a surface safe for water use. Here is the company's explanation of what they do. PaperStone is a composite material that is made from 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard. The color of the finished panel is determined by the recycled paper type, the phenolic resin and the pigments and dyes that are used. Because of all of these factors and the natural tendency of phenolic resins to darken and 'yellow' over time, we cannot guarantee that color will match precisely batch-to-batch. We have instead chosen to let the natural progression of aging proceed to produce an authentic product that matches to your expectation of what a natural product is supposed to do. PaperStone comes in the colors shown to suit any design style in the kitchen, bath or office. This is a great way to incorporate sinks into your home without using all of the usual suspects. This is very green and very cool. I have it in my own home. It also comes in other colors. Visit paperstoneproducts.com for more information.
