My Little House

In 1999 I moved from Louisiana to Union, Maine. I bought a quaint 150 acres that was the quintessential "gentleman's farm" on a very quiet road. Quickly realizing that I needed to have my then 10 year old son attend school in Camden (a neighboring township) I found myself looking at real estate. Dismayed by everything within my budget I came across my angel quite by accident. I was looking at a house that was just so-so but, would work for a while. My building inspector, sensing that I was less than enthusiastic, who happened to be a builder himself, just finished a house for a friend of his that "might" be for sale. It was described with/by all of the buzz words that makes one salivate. Granite fireplace, wood beams, wood floors, and the killer phrase..".it feels like you are on a boat." I couldn't wait. I wanted to see it the same day and I did. Enter Marc Scott.
These are not pictures of my home but, of another client of Marc's. This home depicts the same structural aesthetic as mine but, the home decor is different.
Marc has the perceptiveness to give you that sailboat experience in a home. I loved my kitchen that he built. This one is very similar.
I love this new design idea Marc has added...I didn't have that little touch but, I love it. I had windows over my lavs, a challenge but, I wouldn't have changed it.
My house did not have these arched styled windows but, I wished they did! I love them! Great going Marc!
Mudrooms in Maine are a must...this one is just near perfect.
So, to conclude my story here, Marc saved the day for me. I was experiencing the woes of divorce and a change in lifestyle. I had downsized dramatically from two homes to my cozy little Marc Scott home that gave me all of the amenities of a luxury home within a small space. I look back on my time spent in the house that Marc Scott built and I have nothing but fond memories. A house well built. |
