I have always loved the MINI Cooper car.  My husband and I bought one for one of our boys the first year they reintroduced the new model to America.  It’s funny because we wanted to surprise our third son with the car and asked our second son if this would be something he (third son) would like.  Second son said, “you are crazy, Alex will never go for that,” our bubble sorta burst because my husband and I both thought it was the coolest car to be introduced to the market in a long time.

Actual car shopping comes into full swing in New Jersey as we are hopping from dealership to dealership.  My husband deliberately waited to go to the BMW showroom last where the MINI Coopers were being sold.  The showroom was not open but, the reaction of son #3, Alex, was a total hit.  He wanted to sit in one so badly, drive it, and make it his own so much he even picked out the color on the spot.

I have to say that the color he chose sorta shocked me.  Yellow.  Guys typically don’t like yellow, but, somehow when it comes to a MINI, yellow is cool.  The interior was so retro and roomy and the little thing was quite zippy with its speed.

I now have many friends that have MINI’S with vanity plates that are very apropos to their individual lifestyles.  I have to admit that I have often thought about owning my own  MINI to have the ultimate vanity plate but, for the life of me I can’t figure out what that would be.
