 Every time I go through my photo library (thank goodness for iphoto) I always gravitate back to my roots.  I know it's probably boring to everyone that has never experienced French culture, but it has really taken hold of me.  Ever since the very first time I stepped into my good friend Jane Fleniken's shop, Antiques and Interiors, I was totally smitten.  But, interestingly enough, I am always being drawn to the New England way of life as well.  The Colonial and Federal periods are very interesting as they relate to our forbearers and how a lifestyle started in America.  Both have their unique qualities and I think that with the proper "eye" one can achieve both in an eclectic atmosphere/style that is unique to the family/person living in their own space.  Here are some pictures from one of my haunts in South Louisiana.  I promise to do some New England coastal stuff soon!  Don't lose patience...
