Alison Berger, Lighting Queen

Alison Berger has inspired a whole new way of lighting up our life. From pendants to chandeliers to sconces, this girl is lighting the way. Represented by Holly Hunt in New York and other showrooms as well...I am sure we will see her take off...I'm a huge fan and was introduced to Alison by the architect, Sam Van Dam with whom I am collaborating on a new project. The chandelier below has words etched right on the glass but, it also comes in a clear version.
"Alison Berger is an artist whose medium is light and whose material is glass. Whether designing light fixtures, objects, furnishings or large-scale sculptures, she uses age-old glass blowing techniques to create glass forms that transcend time and capture light. Derived from historic forms that have been stripped down to their essence, her work feels simultaneously old world and modern." These lights are great for out of doors. They are weather proof and on a tubular stabilizer so that wind is not a factor. These lights are so transitional that I think YUM, YUM....can I find a place for them in my house!
This picture exhibits a slightly different form and one that is easy to get on board with.
Here we go again...cluster lighting....but, Alison does it better than anyone. The way she blows her glass and the way she puts her lighting together is none other than magnificent. Kudos to Alison Berger!
