Aaron Fedarko, Furniture Craftsman

I met Aaron by chance at a client’s home.
I was delivering furniture to my client as Aaron was delivering a custom coffee table that my client had engaged with him on their own. I was intrigued by this very young man who had obviously produced a very fine piece of furniture.
Aaron is self employed making his way as a furniture designer in Camden, Maine. This is what is so great about living in Maine and being an interior designer. The abundance of incredibly gifted craftsman living here is truly astounding. Aaron draws inspiration from his western Pennsylvanian roots, where he was exposed to Shaker, Amish and Appalachian furniture designs at a young age.
Aaron studied with the renowned Kentucky chair maker, Brian Boggs. Aaron is also a graduate of the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine, one of the most highly regarded furniture making schools in the country.
Aaron’s “Dos Amigos” table and chair was awarded top honors in a juried furniture show and his work is in the book titled “500 Chairs” and also, “500 Cabinets”. Aaron has an incredible gift for making any furniture dream come true. I can vouch for that as I have employed him to do quite a few custom jobs where the client has been delighted with the outcome.
Photos are by Chris Pinchbeck. Chris is another incredible local talent famous for his unique pinhole camera format. Chris works both as a commercial and fine art photographer. As a trustee of the Farnsworth Art Museum I had the pleasure to vote on accepting one of his pinhole camera prints for the collection. This purchase was made possible by the Friends of the Collection for the Farnsworth Art Museum. Below is not the one we have but, representative of his pinhole work.
Please view represented pieces at the Dowling Walsh Gallery in Rockland, Maine for Chris Pinchbeck.
